The worst: Sometimes the frustration of dealing with outmoded thoughts and practices -- in every country! Who has inspired you: I am inspired by all the great philosophers who teach us that success has to be earned in life through dedication and hard work. Sean Seah has been appointed director of ecommerce of Langham Hotels International. Mr Seah will be responsible for the group's global online presence to ensure that the brand experience is engaging from the second users enter any Langham virtual space. His remit will include integration of all the digital brand platforms, driving online revenues, building a consistent world-class experience for guests and partners and developing innovative online experiences. SEAN FLYNN EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS RENDEZVOUS Sean Flynn has been appointed executive vice president of operations at the Rendezvous Hotel Group. Mr Flynn will oversee the operations of all hotels in the group as well as pre-opening, operational training, and purchasing activities. CHLOE CHOMIENNE MICE MANAGER EXOTISSIMO, CAMBODIA Chloe Chomienne has been appointed MICE manager of Exotissimo Cambodia. She brings with her a wealth of experience that will translate into innovative incentive programming and event organising. Hailing from France, Ms Chomienne has spent the past three years managing Exotissimo's internet sales and inbound teams in Laos providing her with a deep insider knowledge of the company and its clients. IQBAL JUMABHOY CEO RENDEZVOUS HOTEL GROUP Iqbal Jumabhoy has been appointed CEO of the Rendezvous Hotel Group. Mr Jumabhoy has experience in a number of industries, including banking, hospitality, real estate and corporate management. MICHAEL MEADE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING RENDEZVOUS Michael Meade has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing at the Rendezvous Hotel Group. Coming from a similar role with the former RHI for the past two years, Mr Meade will be responsible for driving brand development, sales, distribution and promotion for the group. KLAUS CHRISTANDL GENERAL MANAGER SHERATON GRANDE LAGUNA Klaus Christandl has been appointed general manager of the Sheraton Grande Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort, Phuket. Mr Christandl joins Sheraton Grande Laguna from Sheraton Miramar Resort, Egypt where he also held the position of general manager. Having also worked in Thailand, Mr Christandl brings with him a wealth of international hotel management experience. JONATHAN PRIOR EXECUTIVE CHEF SHANGRI-LA'S TANJUNG ARU RESORT & SPA Jonathan Prior has been appointed executive chef of Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa in Kota Kinabalu. Chef Prior will be responsible for the property's overall kitchen operations, training and managing kitchen personnel, ensuring that food quality standards are met and developing new recipes and culinary techniques. He is a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry and started his career as an apprentice chef. DAMIAN CLOWES VP -- CORPORATE SERVICES OUTRIGGER HOTELS & RESORTS Damian Clowes has been appointed vice president -- corporate services of Outrigger Hotels & Resorts in Asia.
