Mr Marshall’s appointment follows the airline’s recent announcement of non-stop daily services to commence between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi from March 2009. He brings to the role more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian travel industry, eight of which were spent in general manager sales roles with low cost carriers Jetstar and Virgin Blue. He will be responsible for overseeing the sales growth of Etihad services between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi. Peter Henley has been appointed managing director of Amari Hotels & Resorts, replacing Kurt Rufli who is retiring. Kurt Rufli has worked for Amari Hotels & Resorts for 36 years, helping to position the group into a strong and profitable entity in the competitive hotel business. aW KaH PenG CHIEF EXECUTIVE SINGAPORE TOURISM BOARD Ms Aw Kah Peng is set to assume the chief executive’s position of the Singapore Tourism Board when Lim Neo Chian steps down. Mr Chian will remain deputy chairman of the organisation. Ms Aw worked for the Singapore Economic Development Board for more than 17 years, and will assume the role on January 1, 2009. nIa nIScaya MICE DIRECTOR INDONESIA DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE AND TOURISM Nia Niscaya has been appointed MICE director for the Indonesia Department of Culture and Tourism. Her previous role was as the department’s deputy director of international promotion - Asia. aMOLaya PancHaSarP DIRECTOR OF SALES – CORPORATE CENTARA GRAND & BANGKOK CONVENTION CENTRE Amolaya Panchasarp has been appointed director of sales – corporate of the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre. Ms Panchasarp holds a Bachelor degree in Liberal Luc Bollen has been appointed general manager of Hilton Petaling Jaya, one of the Hilton’s longest standing hotels in Malaysia. Mr Bollen succeeds Mr Michael Nagel who managed the hotel from 2001 to July 2008 and now heads Hilton Beijing. Mr Bollen joined Hilton Hotels in 1993 and his most recent posting was as general manager of Hilton Hefei in China, where he was instrumental in the development of the hotel throughout the pre-opening and operational phases.
