thailand thailand Story by Johanna Mc W showcase Kinnon Making converSation at connections plus 2008. ith 100 delegates from more than six different countries, this year’s Connections Plus was bound to be a memorable experience. DAY 1 Departing Sydney with Thai Airways our Australian contingent was excited to be travelling in luxurious business-class. Delegates from USA, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, China and Malaysia took turns in introducing their neighbour to reveal interesting attributes about some of our favourite things, unique characteristics and even nick-names. Following a quick boat transfer our group explored the Royal Orchid Sheraton and were split up into teams to find clues in an ‘Amazing Race’ style site inspection which ended with each squad competing for the prize of a free nights’ stay. Teams had different animal names and I was with a group of cheeky monkeys who out- did other teams in speed and agility to find all of the clues first. However, it wasn’t that miceAsia.net 43 miceAsia.net 43
