venue update singaporE’s DinnEr with pEnguins Dining amidst birds and nature in this part of the world is probably one of the rarer experiences for anyone. But Dinner with Penguins at Singapore’s Jurong BirdPark is said to be unforgettable. Your evening affair begins with a welcome cocktail at the award-winning African Wetlands. Here, guests mingle and exchange pleasantries with African avian citizens like the shoebill, the African-crowned crane, saddle-billed storks and others. As it gets dusky, you meet other feathered stars like the colourful talking birds and even snap a photo with them for souvenirs. Showtime begins at the cozy Penguin Expedition in a black and white setting and an international buffet for gourmet lovers. As you dine in style, these lovable penguins will also dine in their own sumptuous servings of fish and vitamins. A commentary about the lives of penguins and their love calls, unique habits and habitats will take place. Jurong BirdPark has five species in the Penguin Expedition including the world’s largest collection of humboldt penguins in captivity. Perhaps the most awesome segment will be the evening’s highlight – Pinky the humboldt penguin’s “meet the folks” experience. Pinky will pose table to table with unsuspecting guests, who are usually mesmerized and captivated by this delightful and truly unique appearance.
