Its dedicated team can assist in creating unique team-building options such as mini Thai Olympics including a fun “elephant versus man” tug-of-war competition, championship golf tournaments at a local course, and a day of diving just off the coast. The property also has a large number of themed events such as a Tender is the Night theme which is held outdoors in the gardens, a Loy Krathong poolside event complete with banana leaf boats floating on the water as offerings to Buddha, and a Dine Around Asia night with sumptuous Asian delicacies prepared by the venue’s experienced kitchen brigade. Elaborately decorated food stalls and candelight help to create the stunning ambience. For larger groups the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH) may be better suited to the meetings component of your event. This world-class multi-purpose exhibition and meetings facility offers great versatility and flexibility. PEACH has six levels and is located along the slopes of the cliff between Jomtien and Pattaya in a stand-alone complex occupying 10 acres. The convention and exhibition hall accommodates up to 8000 people theatre-style or just over 3500 for banquets. Visit www.peachthailand.com for further details. For assistance in meetings and incentives in Thailand miceASIA.net suggests you start your enquiries with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau. TCEB’s aims are to enhance the economic impact of Thailand’s MICE industry to the Thai economy, and create long-term competitiveness and assist in ensuring Thailand remains competitive on the international stage. The new facility will be known as RPM International Exhibition & Conference Centre. The 2500 square metre waterfront centre paves the way for a new era of large-scale conferences, expos and private events on the island. Three times larger than any existing exhibition facility in Phuket, it expects to host one or two high-profile events every month. The conference centre is a joint venture between Royal Phuket Marina and Informa, the largest publicly-owned organiser of conferences and courses in the world, staging more than 10,000 events annually. In his address Governor Ruangjan said Phuket was one of the world’s premier tourist destinations. “I am confident that with the opening of such facilities as the RPM International Exhibition and Conference Centre, our island paradise has the potential to become a leading international venue for conventions, expos and large scale private events.” Visitors to Phuket exceeded a record five million in 2007. facility
